5741 Akanemaruta

5741 Akanemaruta (provisional designation: 1989 XC) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Watari Kakei, Minoru Kizawa, and Takeshi Urata at the Nihondaira Observatory in Shimizu, Shizuoka, Japan, on December 2, 1989. It is named after Akane Maruta, a girl who died in a 1998 car accident and became the namesake of an astronomical observatory.
